Salt Light Bridge — companionship and support for seniors
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
What We Do
A Christ-centered 501(c)(3) public charity, we are dedicated to serving seniors through companionship, personal assistance, and meaningful connection not just for their well-being but also as a support system for their families who love them. Driven by faith and personal experience, we are passionate about ensuring that every “Neighbor” feels known, seen, heard, and loved at no cost to them.

Our mission is to BE THE SALT that enhances and preserves connection in our community, SHINE THE LIGHT as a reflection of God's love and a beacon of hope, and BUILD THE BRIDGE between the Neighbors we serve and trusted community partners that can provide additional support.

No Longer Facing Life Alone
Salt Light Bridge has been such a help to me, especially when I needed support the most. One of the biggest things they helped me with was getting to my doctor’s appointments, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. Knowing I didn’t have to worry about how I was going to get there brought me so much peace of mind. What really means the most to me is having someone to talk to. Not just about my health problems, but about everyday life. It makes such a difference knowing you’re not alone anymore, that someone cares enough to listen, talk with you, and even come visit. That kind of connection is priceless. Salt Light Bridge has supported me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Knowing there’s someone available to talk with me about the Lord, to offer encouragement, and to help with physical needs makes me feel comforted and cared for. It’s so important for seniors to have someone to lean on, someone who helps with daily needs and truly cares. I’m very thankful for the support, kindness, and peace of mind they’ve given me.
Accomplishing More Together
I learned about Salt Light Bridge through my wife, who works closely with the founder’s wife. As my health has declined in recent years, I’ve experienced weakness and balance issues, and my wife was concerned about me going alone to our 22-acre property. Robert Roseberry graciously offered to accompany me, and his presence made a significant difference. He is a sincere believer with a genuine desire to serve, and his positive, hardworking attitude was evident throughout the day. Even when I suggested stopping early, he was committed to finishing the job. Because of Robert, I felt supported and was able to accomplish more than I could have on my own. I’m truly grateful for his help and companionship.
Reconnecting to My Community
Before I was connected with Salt Light Bridge, I was going through a tough time and felt pretty alone. Being visually impaired makes everyday things like reading mail, adjusting things around my apartment, or even making phone calls a lot harder. What really stood out to me [about Salt Light Bridge] was the personal connection. Just having someone call, check in, and take time to talk made a huge difference. It lifted my spirits and reminded me I wasn’t alone. They’ve also helped me get back out into the community, which has meant a lot. They’ve been a big help by getting me to doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, and other places I need to go. And on the spiritual side, talking about scripture and helping me stay connected to church has really encouraged me. I think Salt Light Bridge is so important because a lot of seniors end up feeling disconnected for different reasons. This program helps people feel seen, cared for, and connected again. To me, it’s more than just help—it’s real support, real connection, and something I’m truly grateful for.
